What is that purple and gold card that I got in the mail all about?? OOPS! The phone number for the City is actually 806-675-2302!! The Crosbyton Chamber of Commerce Community Fund was set up for beautifying and promoting Crosbyton! The fund comes from citizens adding $2/month to the monthly water bill. Will you help by adding $2/month to your water bill?

There will be a committee to decide the project undertaken, but some suggestions include: contribute to the swimming pool fund, build a Splashpad, or erect a metal art Chieftain head. These are only suggestions, but we want to do SOMETHING to beautify and promote Crosbyton and WE NEED YOUR HELP! Please consider calling the City office TODAY at 675-2302 and say “I will give $2/month!”

Sue was one of our own Woman of the Year. She will be missed. Sue Cornelius RALLS-Sue Cornelius, 73, passed away surrounded by her family on March 9, 2017. She was born on Oct. 7, 1943, to Otis Justus and Ardella Smith Justus in Dallas County. On Feb. 8, 1964, she married Dwayne Corney Cornelius in Crosbyton. Sue loved being around people, especially her family and helping others on whatever she could do for them. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her. Sue is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Dwayne Corney Cornelius who passed on May 8, 2009. Sue is survived by her sons, J. Paul Cornelius and David Cornelius, both of Crosbyton; her brother, Wayne Justus of Breckenridge; four grandchildren, Casa, J. Dereck, Michelle, Lauren; and one great-grandchild. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 19, 2017, at the First United Methodist Church of Crosbyton. Online condolences may be made at www.adamsfuneral.com.

She is married to Steven Munoz,  and they have two daughters, Amanda Munoz who is a graduate student at Texas Tech University and is employed  at the Texas Tech Athletics Department.  Their other daughter is Alyssa Munoz and is a junior in Crosbyton high school. All of Diana’s family lives here, including her parents, Isabel and Virginia Sanchez, and her three sisters, Grace, Rachel, and Debbie.

When asked, what do you like most about Crosbyton? ” The friendly and helpful community, and when we all come together we can accomplish our tasks.” When asked, if you could change one thing about Crosbyton, what would it be? “I would love to see more development, including homes, businesses and fun activities for young people. ”

The best advice Diana has ever received is listen more and talk less! Diana added, “I love my ministry of helping people and enjoy sharing time with my church family at Trinity Worship Center.”

The Junk in the Truck Vintage Market will be in Crosbyton, Texas on Saturday, March 4, 2017! The market will be held in the Ericson Pioneer Ranch and Farm Museum’s large gold barn located at 211 East Aspen one block south of U.S. Highway 82/114. The Vintage Market will have over fifty vendors displaying vintage items, upscale boutique, rusty junk finds, children’s fashions, handcrafted items, and jewelry. If that sounds like a great way to spend a Saturday, you should also know that you can expect more. The Chamber will service breakfast burritos starting at 7 a.m.. ARCC, ANimal Rescue of Crosby County will start serving lunch at 11! Spend the day in Crosbyton. Enjoy the Junk in the Truck Vintage Market and shop the local stores that are open on Saturday.
