Charleys at 218 West Main Street. Is an old-fashioned hamburger place that has been recognized in “The Texas Hamburger: History of a Lone Star Icon” by Rick Vanderpool. In Mr. Vanderpool’s write up he quotes Charley Jordan on his family’s history in the food industry, saying that Charleys continues “a 50-year Texas Legacy”. Charleys also serves salads, fish on Friday, and a variety of really great hamburgers.

Dairy Queen at 303 West Main Street is truly a stop sign for traveling Texans. The Dairy Queen is open from 10:30 a.m. thru 9:00 p.m. Sunday thru Saturday, making it the ever ready haven for travelers and locals. Phone: 806-675-0644.

Main Street Café offers authentic Tex-Mex with addition Texas favorites such as chicken-fried steak.

 

Why Crosbyton

One of the prettiest streetscapes in West Texas is Aspen Street in Crosbyton viewed from the library windows of the second story of the High School building.
